Do you ever hide all of your shoe box stuffed with pictures so you don’t have to deal with them? If you don’t see them, maybe they don’t exist? Let’s start one step at a time, and you will be amazed at how much you can accomplish with just 10 minutes a day!
FIRST MONTH: Take all of your boxes, and put them in one central place. Make sure you have some sturdy, in good condition boxes for sorting. Take 15 minutes a day, and sort pictures by event, person and chronicle order.
SECOND MONTH: Buy one or two Binders. You can get special, expensive leather binders from specialty shops, or just the regular binders from the grocery store, whatever suits your needs. Take this month to gather your supplies. Find the adhesives you like, the paper. Make sure everything is acid free. Page protectors are a must. Find your patterned stickers and paper, and all your buttons and embellishments. I like to stalk the stores for items on sale.
THIRD MONTH: Make a goal of how many pages you can take on in one month. My goal is ten pages a month. Some months I can do more, but this is a great place to start. Now, after organizing, having supplies on hand, and having all you need, make a specific place and time to scrap. Stick to it…..you deserve this time.
FOURTH MONTH: Now that you have your system down, it’s amazing how taking 15 minutes a day, or an hour block one time each week, you can get amazing amounts of scrapbooking done. Don’t stop here. This is just the first four months of the rest of your “Happy Scrapping Days! |
