This is a fun, bright geometrical card. The card features a similar color scheme, has a simple statement with a strong punch. The Elephant adds a whimsical touch that is perfect for a child, and an adult that is a child at heart. This does not have a specific theme, so it can be used as a birthday card, a baby card, or just a general card.
Supplies:
1 sheet of white card stock (8 1/2 inches by 8 inches)
Two squares of card stock cut to 5 6/8ths. One lime green, and one purple
Two blocks of card stock cut to 2 1/8 th s. One green and one royal blue
One white piece of card stock cut to 2 3/8 inches by 2 1/2 inches
One square of light blue card stock cut to 2 1/8 by 2 2/8
Two light purple eyelets and two lime eyelets
One light blue clay mini elephant by Paperbilities
Small hole punch
Eyelet setting tools and mat
Adhesive tape
Step 1
Adhere the blocks of colored card stock to the white card stock that you have folded in half.
Step 2
Punch a small hole in each corner of the light blue square.
Step 3
Set the eyelets using the eyelet tool and hammer on your self healing mat. The purple eyelets are on the corners with the purple and blue squares, and the green eyelets will match up with the green and the lime squares.
Step 4
Center the square directly over the point where the four blocks meet on the card. Adhere with the tape.
Step 5
Mount the elephant using the adhesive dot that comes with the clay figure. If you are using another figure in the center, you can use regular glue dots.
