A fun, quirky card that is perfect for a child’s birthday (or a child at heart). You can fill the pocket with small gifts, money, or gift certificates. This card features a simple denim pocket that you can fill with money, small toys, gift certificates, movie tickets, or other fun items making it perfect for a birthday card, or a card for a special thank you. The red gingham adds color and whimsy, and the green flower adds a quick fresh touch. Add the eyelets for a real “denim jean” feel.

- 1/2 sheet 8.5 by 11 white card stock
- Piece of denim material cut free hand into a pocket shape approx 3.5 by 3 inches in diameter
- Glue dots or adhsive tape
- Mustard embroidery floss and needle
- Red gingham ribbon about 9" in length
- Sage green silk of felt flower
- Small green button close to the same color
- 2 brass eyelets
- Eyelet setting tools

Sew big stitches around the denim piece of fabric with the floss.

Apply glue dots to the inner edge of the denim "pocket", leaving the top open.

Adhere to folded card stock.

Add the red gingham ribbon by cutting a 1 inch slit in the crease of the card, threading the ribbon through so it is 1/4 inch blow the top of the denim pocket, and adhere with glue dots on the inside of card.

Sew the button and flower onto the bottom corner of the denim pocket.

Using the punch, make two small holes on the top corners of the pockets, and set the eyelets.

Fill card with some fun gifts, or even a love note for your special someone.
